Social network profile creation by gender UK 2010-2020

Over the period between 2010 and 2020, the share of female respondents, who reported creating a profile on any social media site in the United Kingdom increased from 56 to 84percent. During the most recent survey period in 2020, it was revealed that 80 percent of male respondents set up a profile on social networking platforms. In the demographic group of the 16 to 24 year olds, 88 percent had social network profile in 2020.
